Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles looking down North Broadway from Fort Moore Hill, ca.1895. The wide, unpaved Broadway can be seen at the far left, stretching towards the mountains on the horizon. To the right, clusters of small, one- to two-story farm-style homes can be seen along the connecting street, the lightly-colored, three-story building of the Medical College visible at the end of the street to the right. Beyond this, more houses can be seen trailing off into the woods at the foothills. A smaller cluster of trees is also visible in the righthand side of the foremost housing block. The sky is filled with both grey and white clouds.
