Description
Photograph of the baptismal fount at the Mission San Luis Rey de Francia in San Diego, 1903. The tall stone basin is shown through an archway at center, a small cross resting on its rim along with a metal pan. A window can be seen above it on the wall in the background. The walls in the foreground appear to have been painted for decoration and then to have faded.
