Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the California State Reform School in Whittier, ca.1910. The four-story brick building is in the distance at center. A tall rectangular clock tower with a smaller tower on the side of it rises from the middle of the buildings. Rows of arched windows and dormers are visible. A large circular plaza is visible in front of the building, and several trees are visible. Two big stone columns flank an entry road in the foreground, and a sign is posted near the road.; The sign reads "No visitors admitted Saturday or Sunday except by special permit. No driving or wandering about the grounds allowed. Parties wishing to visit the school will first apply at the office. No visitors admitted by Girls Department without an order from the Sup't. By order of Board of Trustees".
