Description
Photograph of an interior view of the bell tower at Mission San Luis Obispo, ca.1900. Three large bells are visible at top and are hung from the wooden ceiling of the open adobe tower. There are ropes attached to the bells and extending horizontally to the right. A low, carved wooden fence is seen around the floor of the tower, and the ceiling is held up by rectangular columns. Beyond the edge of the tower, several houses can be seen along a street, and there are mountains in the distance.
