Description
Photograph of Columbia Avenue with the Raymond Hotel in the distance, ca.1887. A railcar sits at the center of the unpaved street, hitched to a horse whose reigns a man in the railcar attends with one arm cocked to the side, posing. Behind him the lavish Victorian architecture of the Raymond Hotel can be seen. A three-story brick building stands to the right. The street is lined by a post-and-rail fence.
