Description
Photograph of students posed in front of the Spadra School in Spadra (in Los Angeles County), Pomona Valley, ca.1886. The large, white, two-story building is at the center of the image. It has six windows visible: four on the top floor and two on the bottom, flanked by identical doorways. There is a cupola on top of the building. The students are arranged on the broad steps in front of the school--there are about twenty-four of them. Leaning on a handrail on the left side of the steps is a man in a suit and hat. There are trees on both the right and left edges of the picture.
