Description
Photograph of a male peacock with its plumage displayed at the Los Angeles Zoo, 1930. The bird is standing on straw in front of a wall into which a doorway is set. The twin doors are wooden, with elaborate hinges and a wooden beam held in place by metal brackets to hold them shut. There is a tall weed growing to the right of the peacock, and the plaster on the wall is cracked in several places.
