Description
Photograph of the General Hooker house in Sonoma County, 1937. A building with an inclined, shingled roof is visible at center. The building is composed of horizontal wooden planks, and a chimney is visible on the roof. One door and three windows are visible. A wooden and wire fence is visible in front of the building, while a wooden gate stands open. Three tall trees with pods on the ends of the branches are visible to the right, while more trees are visible in the background. The foreground is composed of dirt, while a spigot is visible in the extreme foreground to the right. Photoprint reads: "House built of lumber which came from Atlantic around Cape Horn. State historical monument. Hooker owned 1000 acres of 'Ranch Agua Caliente' as Ague Caliente .5 m[iles?] north of Sonoma".
