Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Peralta adobe at Diamond Park north of Fruitsole (Fruitdale?), ca.1900. A squat hut is pictured at center, a mixture of foundation stone with adobe bricks, its roof shingled. To the right, a large, knotted tree stands behind the adobe. A dirt path leads to the right, where a small wooden bridge can be seen. An early version of record reads: "Peralta owned all of what is now Oakland, Berkeley and Alameda. A grant to a retired Sargeant, Luiz Maria Peralta. Now used by Boy Scouts".
