Description
Photograph of a panoramic view showing the Sixth Street Park (later Pershing Square) from Fifth Street and Grand Avenue, downtown Los Angeles, ca.1880. A rectangular-shaped park can be seen at center surrounded with trees. Pathways can be seen in the park amongst grass lawns. Dirt roads line each side of the park, while one- to two-story residential buildings are visible around the park. Most of the buildings have yards and trees nearby. The flat land in the background is mostly devoid of buildings.
