Description
Photograph of a traction steam engine hauling borax, ca.1900. The wheels are made of iron(?). Five men, including the driver, are sitting on the conveyance. The landscape is barren and rocky. There is an embankment on the left. The engine could haul as much ore as the famous twenty mule teams across twelve miles of desert.
