Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the old Dance Hall and Saloon in Hornitos, ca.1930. Chinese poplar trees line the raised sidewalk outside the lightly-colored dance hall. The two double doorways at center are lined with brick and a short, wooden ramps extends from the right-most doorway to the ground below the sidewalk. Several people sit on a bench on the left just under the building's sign, but one person stands. "The saloon still serves beer but the dancing feet are gone. The old sagging floor would not stand it".
