Description
Photograph of a view looking north down an unidentified street in Fresno, showing the First National Bank building, [s.d.]. Pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages can be seen traversing the wide street, while more pedestrians can be seen flocked to either sidewalk, looking into the shop windows of the commercial establishments that line them. In the left foreground, a three-story turret bears the First National Bank sign, its windows shaded by cloth awnings. At the end of the street at center, what looks like a large capital building or city hall can be seen. Cable car rails can be seen embedded in the road.; Legible signs from left to right include: "C.H. Piege", "School Books", "[...]nr D. Smith. Dentist", "Grand Capital", "C.A. Schwi[..]zer Harness and Saddles", "Radin & Ka[...]p Fine Clothing Wh[...]re Front Stores", "Baths 25 cents", "Ben Epstein Clothing Et[...]", and "E.A. Kline & Co. El Symphonie Havana Cigrars".
