Description
Photograph of a view of the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Ocean View Avenue, showing a cargo truck, ca.1924. Two men in lightly-colored shirts drive in a topless car towards the viewer at left, while a tall cargo truck can be seen making its way down Whittier at the right. Farther right, a flatbed truck fileld with what appears to be wooden furniture can be seen parked along the sidewalk. One- to two-story brick buildings line the street to either side, along with utility poles.; Legible signs from left to right include: "B.W. Bendorf, Real Estate", "$500.00 Down", "44 Cigar", "Garage", "Charge Service. Batteries", "Electricians", "Favorite Cafe", "Hume-Benson Land Co. Real Estate", "Gas", "Drugs", "Hotel", "C.O. Mount, Chiropractor", "Lowrie [...]", "Eat", "Dancing", and "Hand Made Cigars Manufactured Here".
