Description
Photograph of the main thoroughfare through Lindsay, 1900-1940. A dirt road lined with shop fronts on the right is visible running from the foreground towards the left background. Awnings shade the walkway in front of the buildings, while utility poles also line the street. Some of the buildings are made from brick, and one is two-stories tall. Signs are visible on the buildings reading, "Billiards and Pool", "Lindsay Drug Company", "Soda and Candies", and "Hats, Shoes, Underwear". Two bicycles are visible under the awning towards the right, while two horse-and-buggy combinations are visible towards the background. Trees line the street at left and into the background, and hills are visible in the distance.
