Description
Photograph of an aerial view of Exposition Park looking south with Vermont Avenue in the foreground, 1918. The park is at the center of the image and can be divided into two parts: the large oval track on the right side, located where the Los Angeles Colosseum (by 1920 spelled "Coliseum") would later stand, and the park-like grounds on the left, on the ground that would later be used for the Rose Garden. The area on the left consists of flat ground divided by orderly paths. There are three buildings on the site. The area around the park appears to be mostly residential and consists of many small buildings filling the remainder of the image.
