Description
Photograph of a lithograph of the remarkable paintings on the ceiling at Mission Santa Clara, ca.1900. The paintings depict a large circular emblem surrounded by a host of winged angels and robed clergymen. At center, an angel is holding a banner that reads "Santa Santa Senora". The far wall of the room is visible along the bottom edge of the image, and it is ornately carved and decorated with arch shapes and a figure of a woman, possibly Santa Clara.
