Photograph of panoramic view of Los Angeles Civic Center, showing outlined extension, ca.1920. At center, a cluster of small buildings can be seen extending into the background. At left, a large rectangular structure surrounded by a line of automobiles is visible. Three arched entryways line the base of the building, while small windows cover the facade. At center, two white lines have been marked on the image. The lines curve in the foreground and run parallel with one another into the far background. Previous version of record stated: "Proposed extension as outlined ...Check USC-0-1-12767 for later view". Photoprint reads: "Part of Civic Center Development, [...], extension of North Spring Street from Sunset Boulevard [...], Street. Proposed extension as outlined hereon shown [...]. Hall of Justice in the left foreground".

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960

Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
