Description
Photograph of a view of a Shriners parade on Seventh Street, looking east from below Olive Street, ca.1926. Seventh Street is at center and runs away from the camera. There are two sets of streetcar tracks in the middle of the road, and a streetcar is visible in the distance. There are many pedestrians on the sidewalks that line the street. A number of early-model automobiles is visible, although the street in the foreground is completely empty. The street is decorated with American flags and star emblems hung on wires over the road. There are tall buildings on both sides of the street, including one building with tall Romanesque columns on its façade at left.
