Description
Photograph of a view of Oakland's Lake Merritt from Adam's Point, ca.1907. The calm water of the lake is at center, and a small sailboat is making its way across the lake at left. There is an island or peninsula at right, and several large houses look out over the water. The far side of the lake is visible in the distance at left, and it is also lined with large, square houses. The edge of the point from which the photograph was taken is visible in the foreground, and the ground is covered in long grass and short bushes.
