Description
Photographic portrait of men posing with their catch, ca.1930. In the center, a triangular stand can be seen with several large fish hanging from small hooks nailed onto its legs. An old well-dressed man is standing next to it with one hand on the stand and the other holding up a fishing rod. Additional men are standing around the fish; they are observable in the left and right and as well-dressed as the first man. They are all smiling and looking towards the viewer. A partially visible house (cabin?) fills in the backdrop.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
