Description
Photograph of the Ireby Barrow Ranch looking north, Los Angeles, ca.1894. Boundaries of the ranch were: Beverly Boulevard (then Temple Street) on the south, Rosemond Avenue on the north, Vermont Avenue on the east, and Normandie on the west. Cahuenga Valley School (now Normandie) was just beyond the left house in the photograph. Horses and cattle graze near a pond. A bearded man and his dog stands next to the wire fence in the foreground. The man appears to be holding a rifle.
