Photograph of an exterior view of the Presbyterian Church in Glendale, California, [s.d.]. The grand, three-story building can be seen at center with an impressive clock tower at center. A cross can be seen on top of the building at right, while many windows can be seen at left. The roof is sloped, and two early style automobiles can be seen parked on the street in front of the building. Two groups of people can be seen seated on a grass park-like area in the foreground. A flagpole is visible in the left foreground and flies the American flag.

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
