Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Melrose Hotel on Grand Avenue between First and Second Streets, [s.d.]. The large Victorian building has domed roofs and a porch and balcony that curve around the front of the building at right. There are three stories and a tower with four. The front yard is full of trees, including a squat palm tree and a tall leafless tree at center. A large chimney protrudes from the dark roof at left. In the distance at right, many other buildings are visible at the base of a hill.
