Description
Photograph (streetscape) of Washington Boulevard looking east from Main Street, June, 1896. A two-horse-drawn carriage is coming down the dirt street. Two other carriages are parked at the curb. An observation(?) platform is perched atop a high pole at left near the Agricultural Park Horse Car Barns (part of a legible sign on the building reads ..."inst. & Agl. Park [...] Railroad Co."). At right are the Washington Park Amusement Gardens. A branch of Security First National Bank is mentioned on a sign on a construction fence.
