Description
Photograph of "Lake Shore" in the Second Street Park (later Echo Park) looking southwest, ca.1887. This view is at the junction of First Street (later Beverly Boulevard) and Glendale Boulevard. Foot paths meander around the grassy area at left beyond the shallow lake in front of a large stand of trees. Part of a footpath cuts through the tall plants in the foreground. A monument which appears to be a column stands in one of the grassy areas towards the left.
