Description
Photograph of women watching ducks in the water at Westlake Park, later MacArthur Park, [s.d.]. Five large swans and nine small ducks are in the rippled water at left, patently eating food being thrown in by a woman seated on the shore at right. There are several other women in long dresses and broad hats gathered in the foreground at right. A small round gazebo is visible on the shore in the distance at center, and a tall pole is sticking out of its pointed roof. The area around the lake is filled with a wide variety of trees, including a large number of palm trees on a low hill at center.
