Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the offices of Hoffman-Schlager, Inc. and David C. Werner, Inc. on Sunset Boulevard, ca.1935. Two two-story buildings can be seen. Both are light-colored buildings with steeply sloped roofs covered with wooden shingles. Rectangular windows can be seen on the upper floors of both buildings. The structure at left has a bay window on the first floor, in addition to two doorways and a rectangular window. The building at right has two doorways as well. Several early-model automobiles can be seen parked on a paved road in front of the offices in the foreground.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
