Description
Photograph of a view of Redondo Beach Pavilion, a dance hall, and casino, on the waterfront, ca.1910. The two-story Moorish/Spanish style building features a multi-curved parapet (left), an arcade (all around), dome-capped turret-like towers, ornamental moldings (at left, main entrance), and a balcony on the second floor that circumnavigates the building. Streetcar rails line the streets. Legible signs include: "casino", "theatre", "Redondo pavilion", "old mission ice cream", "beach stone", "JNO Q. Tuft, Redondo Bazaar Co.", "bait for sale, poles for rent", "toilets, women", "welcome".
