Title Waterfall at the California Botanic Gardens in Los Angeles, [s.d.]

Description Photograph of a waterfall at the California Botanic Gardens in Los Angeles, [s.d.]. The waterfall is in the background at center. The water cascades from high up down a rocky cliff face before plunging into a large calm lake. Two massive boulders can be seen in the water. A host of different trees can be seen around the water, including several varieties of palm trees. Fern leaves can be seen as well.

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
