Description
Photograph of a collection of panoramic lithographs depicting Los Angeles, Wilmington and Santa Monica, ca.1877. All three lithographs in the image are shown as aerial views: Los Angeles is pictured at the top, hills visible in the left and right foregrounds, between which a circular park area is located. The blocks of the city extend afterwards into the distance. Wilmington is pictured at the bottom left, identified by a caption. Boats travel the harbor and straits in the foreground, including what appears to be a ferry. Finally, Santa Monica is pictured at the bottom right, also with a view of water. The harbor seems to be shown, with the town on dry land in the foreground and a circular basin of water visible in the background, into which a wharf extends. Boats navigate in the vicinity. Compares to: CHS-7465. Photo is identical to bottom left hand portion of image.
