Description
Photograph of the Otis Carillon (from the rear) at the Santa Monica Boulevard entrance to Hollywood Cemetery, ca.1903-1906. The mission-style stone Otis Carillon building dominates the entry. A wooden fence with stone posts surrounds the cemetery. The carillon was presented to the Cemetery by General Harrison Gray Otis in memory of his wife, Eliza A. Otis. Utility poles and lines can be seen over the houses outside the cemetery. The mountains are visible in the background.
