Description
Photograph in panorama of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Drive looking southeast from an apricot orchard, ca.1891. Rows of trees, both saplings and those in full bloom, are pictured surrounding the framework of a building under construction. In the background just right of center, the top of the Sacketts Hotel can be seen, along with the tops of a few other larger homes. In the background, mountains and the sparse houses of the city can be seen on a cleared plot. The eucalyptus trees along the left side on Hollywood Boulevard demarcate where the library was located.
