Description
Photograph of an aerial view of the Rainbow Pier and the Municipal Auditorium in Long Beach, 1946. The semi-circular pier is at center. Sitting inside the pier is the Municipal Auditorium, a large, light colored building with curved sides. The land around the building is landscaped, and several narrow paths are visible. In the background, the city of Long Beach spreads out across the image. It is a dense collection of tall buildings and straight streets. Many oil derricks are visible in the background at left. Photoprint reads: "Aerial Photography, Pacific Air Industries, 725 E. Third Street, Hemlock 5-8326, Long Beach 12, California".
