Description
Photograph of the interior of the Carnegie Public Library in Covina, ca.1908 (1920?). Four large wooden tables are arranged in a long rectangular room. A wooden counter is in the back left corner of the room, and a large window is at right. The walls are covered with wooden paneling except on the top third, where they are painted in a light color. There are three portraits hanging on the wall above the paneling at left. Magazine racks line the wall at left, and two chandeliers with six lights each are hanging from the rafters that support the ceiling. A second room is visible through a sliding door at the back of the scene.
