Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the front of City Hall in Compton, 1926. The rectangular, two-story building is pictured at center, just in from a dirt road and sidewalk in the foreground. A paved path leads from the sidewalk to the building's front entrance which is encapsulated by a foyer of five archways. The arched windows above are decorated with filigree molding, and two tower-like structures stand as bookends to either side of the building, attached. The building was later destroyed in the earthquake of March 1933.
