Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Pomona High School, later Emerson Junior High School, ca.1900. The large Romanesque building is on a low hill at center. The main entrance is behind a colonnade at right, and a massive set of concrete steps leads to the door. Tall rectangular windows can be seen along the perimeter of the building, and a small side entrance can be seen through an archway at left. A man in overalls is tending the grass at center. A line of small saplings runs in front of the school, and a dirt road can be seen in the foreground at right.
