Description
Photograph of a view taken from Ocean Avenue of Pine Avenue in Long Beach, ca.1905. The streets are bustling with pedestrian activity, as well as two street cars and several horse-drawn wagons. There are buildings lining visible on both sides of the streets; most are two story, but the one on the corner--the National Bank of Long Beach--is three, and there is a building with a large tower in the background. The buildings are decorated with patriotic banners and American flags are suspended across the street. Legible signs include "The Butler Furnished Rooms", "Long Beach Reality Co.", "292 Pacific Electric RY. Co. 292", "Redondo Ave.", "The Norwood Furnished Rooms", "[...] Thomas Real Estate", "Grube's Corner", and "Post".
