Description
Photograph of people standing in front of the first electric streetcar over the Eagle Rock route on the Glendale Electric Line, March 27, 1909. Fourteen men in suits stand on the ground outside of the streetcar, which reads "Eagle Rock" and "Los Angeles", the leftmost two of whom are dressed in conductors' uniforms. Several other men, women and children occupy the car and its steps. The top of a building with Romanesque architecture can be seen in the background. There has been an edit made in the form of an "x" underneath the ninth man from the left on the ground.
