Description
Photograph of a hand-colored view of the Long Beach pier from the north, ca.1900. The pier runs from right to left, dropping further into the background as it crosses the image. It is a two-level structure, with a covered walkway topped by an open one. In the background at left, a two-story building with two large domes on its roof can be seen at the end of the pier. In the foreground, a dirt road leads to a sandy beach. Small bushes and weeds can be seen growing along the side of the road.
