Description
Photograph of a lecture for printing students at Frank Wiggins Trade School, 1920-1929. Henry L. Bullen, the Curator of the American Type Founders' Company Typographical Library and Museum can be seen standing at right addressing students of the printing department and visitors at Frank Wiggins Trade School. Seated left is John M. Murray, head of the department and standing immediately behind him is H.A. Campion, principal of the Frank Wiggins Trade School. Nine men wearing suits can be seen seated in a row in front, while men and women wearing ties or aprons can be seen standing in two or three rows behind the seated men. A clock can be seen on the wall at right above an "Exit" sign.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
