Photograph of an exterior view of the Frank Wiggins Trade School, ca.1920-1929. The building is about eleven-stories tall and features a three-story base that extends to the left and right. Several automobiles can be seen parked in front of the building, while several trees can be seen. One car is parked on the side of a road visible in the left foreground. A utility pole is visible at left, while a fire escape and American flag can be seen on the building.

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
