Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of closely spaced bungalows in Venice, 1900-1909. A vast expanse of small wooden houses extends from the foreground into the distance at right. Most of the houses are single-story structures with covered porches, although several two-story buildings can be seen as well. The streets between the houses are narrow and unpaved. The ocean is visible in the distance at left, and a long, tall mountain range runs across the entire image in the background.
