Description
Photograph of a view of a Venice beach in winter, showing sunbathers, 1947. Sunbathers sparsely cover the sand that fills the foreground of the image and recedes into the center background. A lifeguard's stand sits to the left of center, while the ocean is at the far left of the image. A strip of buildings lines the sand at the right edge; a small stand bearing the sign "Neta" is the closest, positioned in the centerground, while behind it sits a taller building.
