Description
Photograph of a view of the Pershing Square garage construction site, looking northwest from Sixth Street, showing the Blitmore Hotel in the background, ca.1955. The dirt construction site of the Pershing Square garage fills the fore- and centergrounds, with construction equipment and debris visible in the center and right centergrounds. Two clusters of palm trees sit in the rear centerground. Highrise buildings line the background, including the Biltmore Hotel and the Philharmonic Auditorium Building. A billboard reading "Try Alka-Seltzer for Headache" tops a building in the right background.
