Description
Photograph of a view of the Ship Cafe along the Venice Pier, taken from a steamer out in the water, ca.1905. A large width of choppy water is pictured in the foreground, separating the viewer from the Ship Cafe, which is pictured attached to the pier just to the left of center. The cafe is shaped like a large sailing vesel, with two levels, but is only the facade of a ship and is not actually floating in the water. To the right, other various buildings are visible along the pier, along with the beach.
