Description
Photograph of a drawing of a horse-drawn mail coach, ca.1905. The coach is facing to the right and is not hitched to any horses. The back wheels are bigger than the large wooden front wheels. The driver's seat is at left and is on a platform that sticks out ahead of the main body of the carriage. The interior compartment is at center and has a small access door at center flanked by a window on each side. There are rolled-up curtains on the tops of the windows. A roof rack is on top of the wagon, and a large compartment is secured on the back with thick leather straps. There are four seats inside and an additional seat on top.
