Description

Photograph of Mount St. Mary's College Library, [s.d.]. The Willard Coe Memorial Library at Mount St. Mary's College is shown at center. A small set of stairs can be seen leading to a large facade lined with three arches at its base. Four pinnacles line the top of the facade. A tile roof can be seen along the top of the building. On the left side of the building, a line of arched windows can be seen below a line of circular windows. On the right side of the building, two rectangular windows are visible. A small garden can be seen on either end of the building. Photoprint reads: "Please credit Victor Barnaba Photography, 409 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica, Calif., EXbrook 4-2206".

Title Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
