Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena, 1930-1940. The curved bridge runs from the foreground at right to the background at left and is being traveled by many automobiles. The concrete bridge has two traffic lanes and is supported by wide arches. The Arroyo Seco can be seen below the bridge and is full of large trees. In the background at right, the large Vista Del Arroyo Hotel is visible.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
