Description
Photograph of St. Vibiana's Cathedral on Main Street, 1888. To the right, two people near a horse pulling a carriage can be seen along a street angling to the left. Across the wide street at center, a large cathedral can be seen. A small barred fence with stone columns surrounds the outside of church. Inside the perimeter, a line of tall trees can be seen. A large rectangular entryway can be seen at the center of the frontal face with two smaller doors on either side. Above each of the smaller doors, a small circular window can be seen. Near the top of the façade, a large circular window is visible with two statues on either side. At the top of the cathedral, a large metal cross can be seen along with four other statues. Along the side of the church, arched windows are visible. In the background to the right, a large domed tower with a cross at its zenith is also visible.
